Overview of
Organizational Resilience Management Software Tools
It is
important that organizational resilience and continuity management
systems be based on a strong and comprehensive risk assessment and
impact analysis process. This process also requires a straightforward
and manageable process for mapping the organization’s operational
components together. The ORMS software has a fast and unique methodology
for handling this mapping process so that the dependency levels of all
related components can be quickly established thereby enabling component
risk to be measured and reviewed across all critical operational
processes instantly. This mapping process then enables risk
assessment values and impact based recovery times to be cascaded easily
through all related operational components ensuring that the whole risk
management process is quick and easy to implement. The next stage is the
resilience strategy, crisis management and continuity planning that is
also supported within this fully integrated software. The risk process
measurement process is structured strictly in accordance with the
guidelines contained in ISO 31000.
ASIS
International has been promoting organizational resiliency concepts
since the publication of its OR Standard [ASIS SPC.1-2009] in March
2009. The OR standard was approved by ANSI in March 2009 and
subsequently recognized by the Department of Homeland Security as an
approved standard under the
Private Sector Preparedness (PS-Prep) program. These products offer
a strong focus on developing effective resiliency through prevention and
protection strategies in line with the OR Standard and deliver all the features
normally expected from a quality continuity and crisis management
software suite. The software caters for all types and sizes of
organizations and delivers an exciting new approach towards meeting the
requirements of PS-Prep and strengthening the private sector

In support of these
initiatives and in order to assist US and international organizations to
achieve conformance with the OR Standard, ASIS have now launched an
exciting range of software tools designed to simplify the achievement of
these objectives.
Offering
a really low total cost of ownership, ASIS are delighted to launch a
range of highly affordable software that is easily upgradable and
scalable thereby providing an effective and practical one-stop
solution to all resiliency, continuity and preparedness
requirements.
